Bait shops in Michigan
Ok Guys and Gals...A few years ago, I put together a listing of all the bait shops that I could find, throughout the state, for a school project, learning to make Web pages.
Here is hte Link...
https://home.comcast.net/~labrunson/...nbaitshops.htm
What I would like is a little help. Please scan the list for your area, and notify me of any that you see that should be deleted, or Added. I will update accordingly. If you want one added, please give me as much info as possible, including the name of the shop, address, city, and phone if possible
I would like to keep this as current as possible. Many people on this site have used it, and continue to do so.
Thanks for the help...
Lee

Muskegon - Springs Sporting Goods has been out of business for years. That Ottawa St site is now the home of Habitat for Humanity Org.

I don't have speifics but hear are some. There is one on M-66 North of Ionia before you get to M-57. It is on the West side of the road, Might be called M-66 Bait and Tackle. There is a hardware shop on Michigan in Grand Rapids that has bait and tackle in the lower level. It is on the North side of the road. I believe it is an Ace Hardware. You might want to check to see if Blue Water Bait is open still. It looks closed to me.

Nice list, Lee. A great idea, using a class project to put together something useful like this.
The only thing I saw: Wyoming Gun & Tackle is now closed.

Thanks guys...keep them coming...Adding new ones will take specifics...I can't add them otherwise. I want to make the list as complete as possible, and at the same time, usable to someone from outta town..

Good thread.
Maybe we should make this one sticky.

I agree Amos, it is a good thread. But personally, I think that "Stickies" are getting a bit out of hand and a little annoying. While they are useful, their usefullness is starting to deteriorate a bit. We're getting 5 or 6 stickies on top of almost every forum lately. I agree with the concept of it but I think you can see my point of them being a bit overused at times.
Other than that it's a GREAT resource ! Thanks Lee for your hard work it is very good info indeed.

St. Joseph
New Store in Saint Joseph....
Broadlow's Fishin' Hole
1127 Main Street
Saint Joseph, Michigan 49085
Phone: (269) 982-FISH (3474)
A good store to get big lake trolling gear at reasonable prices.
web page: www.broadlows.com
Also....
Woodward's in Coloma has been bought out by the owners of Broadlow's Fishin' Hole in St. Joseph and is called Fishin' Hole II. The address is the same... and I would assume the phone is the same... but not sure about phone being the same. It is not advertised on their web page yet.
The Fishin' Hole II is more an inland lake bait store. Good bait for ice fishing.

Update
The listing for the city of Lapeer of Nepessing landing general store is no longer valid since it has been closed for several years now.
An addition would be...
Starlight Archery in Lapeer
2110 N Lapeer Rd
810-664-6401
carries minnows and wax worms
and the Lapeer Meijer carries crawlers, leaf worms, spawn bags, wax worms and mousies in a little refridgerator in the fishing aisle.
