\r\n \r\n Leyland announces Porcello the pitcher of the home opener 2010: \r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nLAKELAND, Fla. -' + '- Rick Porcello started the biggest game of the Tigers\' 2009 season. He\'ll now get the biggest event in Detroit to start off his sophomore campaign in 2010. \r\n \r\nAlthough manager Jim Leyland hasn\'t finalized his rotation for the regular season, he has at least slotted in the guys he already knows are in. Porcello will start the Tigers\' home opener on April 9 against Cleveland, and Max Scherzer will start the second game of the season on April 7. \r\n \r\nFor Porcello, who remembers experiencing the home opener last year, it\'s going to be an experience. \r\n \r\n"It\'s obviously an honor," Porcello said Monday afternoon. "I remember how the home opener in Detroit was last year, the fans coming and all the tailgating, it\'s obviously a pretty big deal. So I\'m excited to pitch in it." \r\n \r\n \r\nhttp://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/news/a...=.jsp&c_id=det\r\n | \r\n
